About

My name is Daniel Duckworth, and I am a software engineer and former natural language processing, optimization, and robotics researcher. My current work revolves around online learning and optimization, but my interests span from probability theory to robotics, computer vision to econometrics, topic modeling [sic] to prediction markets.

In my spare time, I write a significant amount of Python code, climb rocks, read "sick papes" (née interesting academic papers), play the guitar, and get lost in foreign countries. My favorite authors are Marquez, Tolkien, Vonnegut, Duchi, and Boyd.

I was born, raised, and educated in California, a land of hope and opportunity. The Infinite City is where my heart (and presently, my person) still resides.
